Under California Vehicle Code § 15250.1, the State of California requires commercial driver applicants to complete a statutory minimum of 15 hours of Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) training (including at least 10 hours operating on public roads). San Diego Truck Driving School provides training that satisfies this 15-hour state minimum, while offering comprehensive hands-on instruction covering up to 40 hours of Public Road driving and 40 hours of Private Range maneuvers, equaling a maximum total of 80 hours of practical equipment training.

Total institutional charges for each program are $2,500.00, covering registration, private range instruction, Education Code § 94874, the school does not participate in state or federal financial aid programs; all tuition is self-paid. State licensing and commercial examination fees are paid directly to the California DMV and are not included in program tuition.
